Book from the Courses section of our website for a holistic, relational approach to working with complex symptoms including breathlessness, anxiety, and total pain. This will take place in a webinar format on 16th October 2020, at a cost of £95 per participant.
This webinar is perfect for those interested in helping patients to live well with illness, and holistic care are core remits of supportive and palliative care. Complex and chronic symptoms such as breathlessness, anxiety, agitation and psycho-social-spiritual suffering are often “hard-to-reach”. Evidence shows that staff across the MDT can feel under-skilled to manage such symptoms and situations which may not be easily “fixable” with medications alone, and that this causes personal anxiety and contributes to stress within teams and between staff and family members.
The course is for all healthcare professionals and therapists interested in broadening their skill set to develop a practical, holistic approach to being with suffering & complexity. The course aims to improve professionals’ confidence to rely on themselves (alongside their clinical “craft”) as a vital and resilient clinical tool.
The online day will be taught using a mixture of lecture/slides, (evidence, mechanisms, case studies) with small and whole group discussion and experiential practice. Attendees will leave the day feeling relaxed, refreshed and inspired!
