Objectives

To build upon foundation level communication skills for dealing with people approaching the end of life or living with life-limiting conditions:

  • Listening and questioning skills – good practice tips and hints
  • Blocking behaviours – what stops a conversation?
  • Practical sessions – rehearsals
  • Building resilience – looking after ourselves

Suitable for: Those working in Health and Social Care settings across Thames Valley, who have completed a foundation level training such as Sage and Thyme Communication Skills/e-ELCA modules etc.

 

How to apply: Course cost is funded by Health Education England Thames Valley, therefore is FREE to participants. Includes lunch, refreshments and all resources.
